The four arts of visual persuasion

The four arts of visual persuasion is the framework of an upcoming book from the two presenters, it explores contemporary forms of political visual expression, evidence and debate.

Through tracking visual forms of political expression we can create a different map of political dialogue. This talk investigates some key examples to examine where and how political discussions are really taking place and what truly engages people, it will look at who is making these visuals and why, how they are making them and the changing role of the spectator as they become part of the action. We will look at how people talk through bank notes, find evidence in plastic and collect signatures of non existent people.
