Our favourite festival in Berlin, transmediale, is ready to start!
And here again, we call for „ACT!ON“: We have an amount of 50 discounted transmediale-tickets exclusively for you. The first fifty, who send an email to „info [at] transmediale.de“ with the subject „re:publica meets transmediale“ up to January 30th 11:59 p.m., receive a festival pass at the reduced price of 70€ or as a student for 40€. For 25 years transmediale engages in reflective, aesthetic and speculative positions in between art, technology and culture. Launched as a VideoFilmFest in 1988, the festival has evolved over the years into an international cultural event, with exhibitions, symposia, film and video programmes, live performances and various publications. Moreover it cooperates with club transmediale (CTM), a festival for electronic music and club culture.
transmediale and CTM’s Vorspiel starts today. It is a pre-festival programme, where over 20 partner venues invite you to a series of exhibition openings, performances, artist talks and special events outside of the main venues of either festival. Vorspiel takes place on the weekend prior to both festivals, from Thursday 26 – Sunday 29 January 2012, at independent organisations, galleries, project spaces and other venues across Berlin.
At transmediale 2012, which will take place from 31st January to 5th February at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt with the new Artistic Director Kristoffer Gansing, everything will revolve around the theme in/compatible. To mark the 25th anniversary of the festival, you can expect even greater experiences and more impressive art acts than usual …
